As the cashier at the local grocery store, Tallie Lorian had formed a loose network of friends who would sometimes help her out by using stolen credit cards to make purchases. It was always a risky undertaking, but the payoff was worth it for someone like Tallie who was struggling to make ends meet. She never thought she'd get caught.

One afternoon, while ringing up a customer's purchase, Tallie felt a pair of eyes on her. Turning around, she was met with the stern gaze of security guard Mike Mancini. His tone was serious as he informed her that they had been investigating her suspicious activity and had her on tape. There was no denying it; the game was up.

Feeling a mix of fear and resignation wash over her, Tallie listened as Mike explained that he could make this all go away. He had the evidence to put her away for a long time, but he was offering her a chance to walk free. In exchange for her "services", he would say she was innocent and let her go about her life.
