Laney is a troubled teenage girl suffering from body dysmorphia, a condition that makes her extremely self-conscious and insecure about her body. Despite this issue, her family has planned a trip to Florida, which leaves her feeling anxious and apprehensive. Laney's therapist, Dorian, has been trying to help her overcome her disorder and suggests an unconventional approach.

On the day of the trip, Laney visits Dorian one last time for guidance. In their session, Dorian encourages Laney to wear a skimpy bikini at the beach during the family vacation. At first, Laney is hesitant but eventually agrees to give it a try. The experience seems to boost her confidence slightly, but she remains convinced that no boy would find her attractive.
